got venom? by vertigoelectric got venom? by vertigoelectric
This is a black widow I captured. She is quite large. I haven't actually measured it yet, but it looks like she may have a leg span of about an inch and a half.

Edits:
:bulletgreen: +contrast/brightness
:bulletgreen: text

(NOTE) I am having trouble getting the image to appear correctly when viewing the PRINT version. Can someone take a look and see if it comes up? 2/3rds of the image are grayed. :( I might have to re-upload the entire thing all over again.

Love the caption:giggle: but, I must say a little to lifelike for my taste. I could only peek for a sec before the heebie jeebies set in. I was finally able to look a little longer after taking an anti-anxiety pill;P so I am not talking blindly. This is an awesome capture the detail is amazing. But, (now I'm going by memory) it seems as though the red hourglass is a little too intense and maybe it's all the white causing it either way it is a tad distracting from the overall view of this great image.

well, i purposely increased the contrast a lot for the very purpose of making it vivid and intense...

now that you mention it... i would like to upload an un-edited version of the photo...

thanks!
